COLON CANCER! TONIGHT LIVE AND IN CONCERT!Keep eating meat and your chances of seeing this live in person will increase greatly! (ALL SALES ARE FINAL - VERY FINAL!)
Onto my post....
Bogdan, Bogdan, Bogdan! You made 2 posts in the same day! That's why I saw pigs flying on the way home from work! LOL
Anyway, it's good to hear from you again, and of course I have to respond to what you said. First of all, yes I was ABSOLUTELY serious when I said we DO NOT need meat to survive, and I was right. What we need is the protein in meat. Meat is a great source of protein and it's a very easy source to come by for most people. I mean all you have to do is drive up to a window to get it. You don't even have to get out of your car, or for that fact you can have it delivered right to your house. That way someone doesn't have to exert any energy to actually get up off their fat ass and move. The only reason you or anyone else may think we need it to survive is because you were brought up to believe that. You were told that by your parents, told that by Ronald McDonald and all the other cool, fun carton characters that had you hooked on flesh before you were even old enough to walk. As I said before, Tens of MILLIONS of people don't eat meat and never have. I'm not going to act like it's easy because it's not. You're surrounded by it every where you go and it takes no effort to get it. Good healthy food requires you to actually PREPARE IT and COOK IT. Now I know for many of you that's CRAZY talk, but believe me there are people that do it everyday and enjoy every morsel.
In regards to your comments about cows not being the same as dogs or cats I have a question for you. Are you still smoking crack? I thought I told you to give that up?! LOL How can you even say that? Even though you haven't taken some time to get to know a cow (even though they're everywhere - every time I'm in Romania) I have. Cows are truly the most gentle, peaceful animals there are. People see them as disposable, so they don't see them for what they really are. Any living creature that has a nervous system feels pain. Humans, Dogs, Cats, Chickens and so on have nervous systems. They feel pain. Any idiot can see that (and I'm not calling you an idiot Bogdan - at least not this time.)
The irony is they're vegetarians themselves.
And I'll keep going back to my original point. We don't have to torture, abuse, and massacre them. We don't have to have psychotic people using their jobs at slaughterhouse to mask their true violent tendencies. We don't have to force them to live in miserable conditions. It's not right. It's barbaric and it's what I would expect from an uneducated, ignorant, selfish, greedy, and uncaring society. The funny thing is that I feel those adjectives describe us at this point in time - PERFECTLY!
Also, one more point. I HATE THE MEDIA! People have to stop depending on the media to tell them anything. You have to use the blessing that is technology to really learn the truth. Go on the Internet. Go underground. You wont find the truth on the news, or at the mall, or at MacDonald's. You have to look long and hard for it and dig deep and you have to learn to accept the fact that the way you live your life is part of the problem. No one is perfect and you cant completely change your life overnight. However, you can make small changes daily that will add up over time. Stop eating beef. Stop buying things prepackaged. Eat organic. Start recycling. Stop using products tested on animals. Start buying Fair Trade. There are a million easy things everyone can do to get started and that's all you need to do - JUST GET STARTED. The rest is easy.
Of course if you dont care about animals, you should car about yourself. Here's some data on the difference between a vegetarian lifestyle and a meat eating one.
ENJOY!
Leading health experts agree that going vegetarian is the single-best thing we can do for ourselves and our families. Healthy vegetarian diets support a lifetime of good health and provide protection against numerous diseases, including our country’s three biggest killers: heart disease, cancer, and strokes. The American Dietetic Association states that vegetarians have “lower rates of death from ischemic heart disease; … lower blood cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and lower rates of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and prostate and colon cancer” and that vegetarians are less likely than meat-eaters to be obese.1 Well-planned vegetarian diets provide us with all the nutrients that we need, minus all the saturated fat, cholesterol, and contaminants found in animal flesh, eggs, and dairy products.
Research has shown that vegetarians are 50 percent less likely to develop heart disease, and they have 40 percent of the cancer rate of meat-eaters.3,4 Plus, meat-eaters are nine times more likely to be obese than vegans are.5
The consumption of meat, eggs, and dairy products has also been strongly linked to osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, asthma, and male impotence. Scientists have also found that vegetarians have stronger immune systems than their meat-eating friends; this means that they are less susceptible to everyday illnesses like the flu.7 Vegetarians and vegans live, on average, six to 10 years longer than meat-eaters.
A plant-based diet is the best diet for kids, too: Studies have shown that vegetarian kids grow taller and have higher IQs than their classmates, and they are at a reduced risk for heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and other diseases in the long run.10,11 Studies have shown that even older people who switch to a vegetarian or vegan diet can prevent and even reverse many chronic ailments.
Tomorrow starts my new topic. Something a little lighter and less controversial....RELIGION!

Have just read half of your post and have a quick question.
Do crabs, lobsters, scallops or any other type of seafood have a nervous system, and if so, do they feel it when they are killed for people to eat? Since they are living beings I am sure they do. So..what constitutes being a vegetarian???
I dont know about scallops, but as far as crabs, fish and lobster's go-yes they do have nervous systems. I know you said you only got half way through, but I'll say again what I say later in the post..."No one is perfect and you cant completely change your life overnight. However, you can make small changes daily that will add up over time. Stop eating beef. Stop buying things prepackaged. Eat organic. Start recycling. Stop using products tested on animals. Start buying Fair Trade. There are a million easy things everyone can do to get started and that's all you need to do - JUST GET STARTED."
I'm not Vegan. Tried once but just don't have the willpower - yet. Maybe one day.
i din`t read the whole post..iv read onyl the part u made the difference between a vegetarion and a meat one thx but no thx:) now i`m going to tell u a story..u said about my parents told me about MC since the day i was born..well iv heard about MC around `95 `96.thats not the best way to represt the meat.iv been to MC i think max 10 times in 10 years and u know why?cuz last time i was going to bucharest after one night by train when i afrived there i stopt to MC to eat, loved the taste but never the feeeling i had after eating that.so that day i think it was 2004 iv only manage to eat half of an BigMac and i got sick..feeling dizzy and the sensation of pukeing..MC is not my sorce of daily meat.not only MC but all those fast food ( even tho KFC as damn!!! to good lol)and i`m not talking about me i`m talking about most of romanians.we do0n`t like fast food and u know why?cuz we look at our friends over the ocean.and now for my story.is very funny but i think u will go crazy..when i was around 6 years old or 7 can`t remeber for sure i got as a present 2 ducs..i keept them for one year..thew grew up under my eyes.yes was nice i was haveing as pets 2 ducs...u know what happend to those ducs?my grandma came to town and cooked them.LOOOL i still remeber that they cuz iv cryed and laught at the same time..i was crying that they killed my ducks(damn i`m not sure about how to type this word but u got it i think)and i was laughing cuz my ducs had an amazing taste..i was in a strange way happy that i was eating something that i saw grew up around me..i was sure that those ducks din`t had any dissees.is srange i know but u missed one think and i was pissed about something u wrote in a previus post.u think u know alout of history and alot about other contryed but u don`t know nothing.u said that roimanian not till some time ago lived at the contry side.well my freind i think contry side is more popular in america then it will ever bee in romani.we had the same popul;ation liveing at contry side and the other liveing in towns like we had before `89(when the comunist where gone).we grew up knwoing that if we eat the food grew up by us it will taste better and trust me is true.I LOVE ANIMALS but u going with that to extreme.we had a strange ritual on Xmas day but now that we r in EU they changed it..and i`m going to tell u about it..i totaly agree is to violent but in one way is part of our tradition since more then 300-400 years ago.whell that tradition is mostly on the contry sides or riche people who stay outside the town..on this period of year they gather family and close friend for "cuting the pig" thats free translation..basicly they gather at some1 house and outisde the prepare everything that they need to sacrifece a pig.is very brutal but as i said even tho i don`t agree i accept it cuz is part of our tradition..u have a nice feeling seeing everybody gather in a house and feel the smell (OF FRESH MEAT AND BLOOD haha) of hollyday.after tyhey kill the big(with a fast nek knife hit) they cover him with dry grass ( don`t know the right word) and makes a small fire on him to take out the "hair" after that happens they cut him pices and start to make all kinds of things u do from pigs meat..all those things home made.and trust me they taste incredible and also is a pig who grew up for that. we passed the time we kill for food a VERY long time ago but the tradition is still here even.and we like to eat good food not all those artificail chikens or pigs i saw u people eat there.(KFC IS GREAT lol)is alot to tell about it but i`m not trying to convince any of u of anything i`m just trying to tell u that if we eat meat we don`t go to hell.LOL rember that god asked for some people to give him sacrifices( don`t know who but iv read in the bible and as we all know bible is a strong argument.u know that last night wanted to get some fresh air and i opend the widnow and a mouse tryed to get in the house..i had my cats around me one of them cach it and eat it..luky that i had my phone around me anc got the moment on vidio..want me to send the video and try to convince my cat that eating brocoli is better then mouse cuz after she eat that mouse she looked like she was on drugs and i don`t LIKE THAT LOOK ON HER FACE..anyway going to smoke a cig drink and coffe and i`m not going to eat meat today:))) Bogdan
ps:iv tryed to give up on meat and for 2 days i felt like dieing..i was HUNGRY all the time.i`m not planing to do that again any time soon...SRy again for my poor english and hope u understand what i wanted to say...if not ull excuse me cuz i`m romanian and we r stupid LOL
oh and btw Hello rose:)
WOW! What a logn post. I didnt even know you knew that many words. LOL
In response I'd like to say that you pretty much proved all the points I was trying to make.
1) I know Romanians didnt grow up on Mcdonalds. I mentioned that in my previous post (you should read all my posts! lol) where I was saying Romanians dont have the disconnect with their food as we do here in the states because we do grow up on fast food (which as you said is why were a nation of fattys-I agree 100%). I mentioned that really only in the past 10-15 years has that really started to come your way.
2) I'm not surprised to hear that you killed 2 pets of yours and ate them. Why? Because in your enviroment that is acceptable. It's how you were raised so it's not that big of a deal for you. The same has happened here in the states to kids that have grown up on farms I'm sure. However if you give 2 little chickens to a kid that lives in the city as pets, I doubt you'll see them sitting on a dinner plate. I've also heard of the gutting of the pig ceremony before. It's actually a pretty common practice that goes back hundreds of years in many societies. However that doesnt make it okay. Just because something is tradition or has been done forever doesnt mean it's sacred or right. 100 years ago you would've had a hard time finding a white person in this country that believed blacks should have equal rights. It was like that for hundreds of years. Does that mean it wasright? If I lived 100 years ago would it then be okay for me to be a racist because that was the prevailing way of things? Of course not. We have evolved as a society beyond that barbaric way of thinking, just like we will eventually with how we think about animals. It's inevitable. So start evolving.
3) OF COURSE cats should eat other animals. That's what they do. They dont have the capacity to make a choice between eating mice or ordering filet mignon at a restaurant. I also have a cat and I know there are times when I catch him looking at me that he's gotta be thinking of different ways he could attack me and eat me. Cats are predatory by nature. Humans no longer are. We are starting to evolve beyond that. We havent been a society of hunter/gatherers for a long time.
Romania will change very quickly in the next 10-15 years. The influence of Western Culture will start to invade your country just like it has Europe. Rates of Obesity are increasing in the EU, Russia, China, and South America all thanks to the spread of the Mcdonalds and KFC's. It's only a matter of time before Romania will be a country full of fattys as well. Of course by then Americans will have eaten themseves to death.
