AP PRESS WIRE
GOSHEN, N.Y.
A 21-year-old man faces two and one-third to seven years in state prison following his sentencing this morning in Orange County Court for breaking into the Blooming Grove Humane Society's animal shelter and torturing, beating and killing three cats.Michael Bornhoeft, of Blooming Grove, was convicted in June by a jury of felony charges of burglary and aggravated animal cruelty in the October 2004 incident.
Judge Nicholas DeRosa says he imposed the maximum sentence because so many studies have shown that if you have this kind of behavior in your past, this rage, it could be turned against humans next time.
Finally someone is being held accountable for animal cruelty. I still dont think the punishment was strong enough but at least it's a start.
My only hope is that he's gang raped everyday by a bunch of degenerates.
I know it's harsh to say that. Trust me I do. But what he did to those helpless animals is beyond harsh and what he would've eventually done to helpeless people in the future I'm sure would've even been worse than that. 2 1/2 - 7 years in prison will only teach him to be more evil, cruel, sadistic and pathetic when he get's out.
