This time last year I was in the middle of one of the best experiences of my life to date. I was in northern Romania near two towns named Targu Frumos and Strunga, spending time with a great group of people that were all from the U.K. and Romania. We were there to participate in a playscheme sponsored by Children On The Edge and as usual it was incredible. I had a great time and as I find myself sitting here one year later reflecting there are some thoughts I gotta get down. I was very fortunate to have been part of the playscheme twice before and each experience was very different than the others in many ways. Most notably are the volunteers you spend the 2 weeks with. How that group comes together and bonds makes all the difference in the world. Fortunatley every team I was on was packed full of amazing individuals, and I find myself still maintaing friendships with a handful of them a year later. To me that's pretty incredible for only spending time with someone for 2 weeks. It just goes to show you how intense those 2 weeks are that you can potentially form life long friendships from that short period of time.
Anyway...that's it...nothing major. Just a little homage to COTE and the gang.
So to Bogdan, Paul , Jen, Ben, Kelly, Tonya, Jo, Kim, Loran, Anna, Elena, Georgiana... I hope all is well with you and things are looking good. I talk to some of you more than others but you're all missed - BOB
